How it works

1. Put 2 to 3 drops of essential oil straight onto the wood ball. It soaks in within seconds.

How long does one drip last? Usually 2 to 5 days, depending on the oil and how much air is moving. Citrus oils fade faster than woodsy or floral ones.

Does it work with the heat on? Yes. Warm air lifts the scent a little more. It works on any fan setting, and even with the vent closed it gives off a light scent.

Will it damage the vent? No. It is a light spring clip. It does not scratch or bend the slats.

Does it drip on the dash? No. The wood absorbs the oil. Just do not flood it: 2 to 3 drops is plenty.

Can I use fragrance oil or perfume? Essential oils work best because they soak into the wood. Fragrance oils also work. Skip perfume and anything with alcohol.

Does the ball come out? No. The ball is fixed in its cup, so it cannot roll out over a bump. Put the drops straight onto it in place.
